    “We've just returned from a fantastic 4 night stay at Cornfield Lodge.”

    The lodge is in a quiet, peaceful location and sits next to just one other cabin. It is clean, cosy and well maintained. The kitchen is really well equipped with everything you need, including dishwasher tablets etc. The lodge is spacious and inviting. The hamper on arrival was a lovely surprise, filled with tasty treats. The owner, Cliff, is friendly, welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. We spent a lot of time exploring whilst away and took in the coastal towns of Saltburn, Whitby and ...

    The lodge is in a quiet, peaceful location and sits next to just one other cabin. It is clean, cosy and well maintained. The kitchen is really well equipped with everything you need, including dishwasher tablets etc. The lodge is spacious and inviting. The hamper on arrival was a lovely surprise, filled with tasty treats. The owner, Cliff, is friendly, welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. We spent a lot of time exploring whilst away and took in the coastal towns of Saltburn, Whitby and Robin Hood's Bay and the beautiful Yorkshire Dales. The large, covered hot tub is a big positive, and great to relax in after a day out. Our only tiny niggle was the mattress on the double bed. We like a firmer mattress and it was very soft and tricky to get comfy on. I swapped and slept in one of the single beds, which have much firmer mattresses. This may be a personal preference though and others may have no issue at all. Overall, a brilliant break away. I would definitely recommend.

Northallerton is a County town and administrative centre of North Yorkshire, located at the foot of a ridge dividing two river basin areas, the Wiske and the Cod Beck, in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, on the edge of the Vale of York, between the Hambleton Hills and the Yorkshire Dales. This thriving town boasts market days on Wednesdays and Saturdays, when both sides of the High Street are home to stalls selling a wide range of goods and produce, plus on the fourth Wednesday of the month the market is joined by a farmers' market. Despite its modest size, Northallerton has a number of independent and national shops, including Betty’s Tea Rooms, Lewis & Cooper, an outstanding delicatessan and wine merchant, award-winning butcher’s, artisan baker, greengrocers, two department stores, several supermarkets and bookshops.
