A wonderful open plan space stretching to double doors opening onto the deck which sits over the moat with an adjacent pond with bi-fold windows along the side where you can sit and watch the wildlife; kingfishers, squirrels, and muntjac enjoying the moat.
The bespoke and well-equipped kitchen sits at one end with integrated Bosch electric oven, induction hob, extractor, under counter fridge with ice compartment, dishwasher, and freestanding microwave.
A solid oak table with six chairs sits between the kitchen and living space which is furnished with a three-seater leather Chesterfield sofa with matching armchair and an Ercol rocking chair, plus occasional tables with lamps and a wall-mounted TV.
Master Bedroom
Wake to the dawn chorus with bi-fold windows opening onto the moat and woodland beyond.
The bed is king-size with two bedside tables, a single wardrobe with drawers, and a ladder desk/dressing table with mirror and light.
Guest Bedroom
Again sitting quietly at the back of the property with windows over the moat; furnished with twin beds with under bed storage and handsome metal drawer unit.
Bathroom
Conveniently sitting between the two bedrooms, this modern fully tiled bathroom has a bath with rain shower, WC, washbasin, heated towel rail and a Velux window giving natural light.

Red Poll Barn sits next to another self-catering cottage, Milk Parlour, which can be booked in conjunction to accommodate six guests.

39;t big enough for all ten guests to congregate comfortably.
This stunning self-catering holiday home is surrounded by countryside with an abundance of wildlife including muntjac deer, bats, badgers, squirrels and many birds for you to identify from the comfort of your own private south facing sun deck which overlooks the moat with a wooden bridge across to the woodland and the pond just next door – an idyllic spot to sit with a good book or simply watch the wildlife.
There’s outdoor furniture and a BBQ for you to use if you enjoy eating al fresco.
The owners are happy for you to wander around almost two acres of their stunning moated gardens and grounds.
For the ultimate in relaxation, guests can bring their rods and fish for rudd and perch in the pond.
Please note there is a washing machine available for guests use in the outhouse (this is a communal washing machine, shared with two other properties)
There’s a drive from the main road to the Rookyards Estate with ample parking for two cars and a path leads to the door of your accommodation.
The surrounding countryside lends itself to cycling and you can store bikes undercover in one of the cart sheds.
