“Thank you for having us at your lodge .”

We did enjoy our stay but it was not luxury. There was no dressing gowns for the hot tub you'd expect and the hot tub was greasy. Your lodge is stunning but could be done with a deep clean. On arrival the road up to ithe property really needs attention. The kitchen was clean but the cutlery in drawer wasn't clean or checked there was also rotten bananas half eaten loft and waffles left behind. The pans in cupboard were in disarray and plates needed washing before use. I refixed the cupboards ...

On arrival the road up to ithe property really needs attention. The kitchen was clean but the cutlery in drawer wasn't clean or checked there was also rotten bananas half eaten loft and waffles left behind. The pans in cupboard were in disarray and plates needed washing before use. I refixed the cupboards and dishes as I do look after 5 star luxury lodges myself. All in all we enjoyed our stay and had wanted to extend it but seemed a nightmare to try and extend. We will return some time as it was quiet and we did enjoy the fire and the view.

Dear Mr Russel We are sorry to hear about the issue with cleanliness - this has been fed back to the cleaning team and we will monitot this going forward. Thank you for organising the cupboards for us, much appreciated. We will consider the dressing gowns - not sure yet if the laundry service can take care of these at changeover. Sorry to hear that extending was diffiult - this is handled by Sykes. To help future guests, I have just spoken to Sykes and they confirm that extending can be done using the Sykes App or by a phone call to Sykes but that an SMS may not be picked up. Otherwise, very glad you enjoyed your stay and we look forward to welcoming you back in the future. Best wishes Jim and Anita (Owners) Property Owner

About the location

ABERFELDY

Pitlochry 14 miles; Perth 31 miles.

The market town of Aberfeldy stands on the River Tay amidst beautiful scenery in rural Perthshire. Famous for its association with Burns and his poem The Birks Of Aberfeldy, and also the bridge built for General Wade in 1733, Aberfeldy is just south of Glen Lyon, known as the longest, loneliest, and loveliest glen in Scotland. There is much to attract the visitor in addition to the spectacular scenery. There is a 10 mile riverside walk for pedestrians and cyclists, as well as numerous paths through forest and countryside. In addition, Aberfeldy is on the Rob Roy Way and Cycle Route 7. Whitewater rafting on the River Tay is an exhilarating way to enjoy the scenery. Castle Menzies is a wonderful 16th century castle, now fully restored and open to visitors. Take a distillery tour at Dewar’s World of Whisky on the edge of town. Sample the many bars, restaurants and cafes in the town and explore the galleries and craft shops, including the Scottish Chocolate Centre. The Scottish Crannog Centre offers a glimpse into Iron Age life and Loch Tay offers a multitude of watersports, while Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park are on your doorstep. An hours drive brings you to 30 Munros, just waiting to be 'bagged'!
