“Such a lovely, cosy cottage!”
My husband, brother, brother-in-law and I had to make last minute Christmas plans, and we could not have chosen a better place to spend our Christmas!
The cottage was just as expected from the photos on the listing and even nicer once inside as the place was decorated for Christmas with little decorations here and there and a tree in the living. There was even a Christmas card and a box of chocolates awaiting our arrival, which was a very lovely touch indeed. The kitchen was so well equipped, we had no trouble preparing anything at all and we had lots of space to store things. The fridge was quite small, but for 4 people with rather large appetites for Christmas food that needs to be stored in the fridge, that's on us and our choice of foods really!
The bathroom and bedrooms upstairs were very comfortable and spacious with good light and just as depicted in the photos.
Two things I will say:
We first arrived in the evening when it was very dark and found the cottage a bit tricky to locate, as the map shown for the location didn't match the written instructions we were sent. But we managed it and made it into the cottage in the end!
The height of the doorways and the ceilings downstairs could be problematic for anyone that might be rather tall. 3 out of 4 of us are quite short so we had no trouble, but my brother (the tallest of the group, around 6ft) had to duck under the doorways throughout the cottage, but once in the rooms themselves he was just fine!
Overall, it was a truly wonderful and very comfortable stay and we'd absolutely love to book again!
