“Very rural setting in the village of Misterton.”
Plenty of scenic walks without having to take your vehicle out with you. Would be great for cyclists (we didn't take ours). The views from the lodge are amazing, hardly anything but stunning countryside. The lodge was brand new for our stay (May 2021). It has a very cosy seating area both inside and out, a very usable kitchen. We found we didn't need to pack anything out of the ordinary for our break. The hot tub is great to chill out in and rest your feet after a day of the Great British outdoors!
If your thinking of going a bit further afield there is a local taxi company, be warned it's a one man operation so if your used to ordering a taxi and getting picked up in 10 minutes, you may want to pre-book some trips. Malcolm, his name is and he gave us pretty much a guided tour of the area, as he took us out to Bawtry. Would recommend this trip if you can spare a day or evening of your Holiday!
There's a full size snooker table and fussball table on site and books and dvds in the lodge if you feel like relaxing on site.
The owners where lovely and very helpful, all the best to Michelle and Geoff, you guys did a fantastic job for us!
Thank you so much for your feedback
