    “Beautiful property.”

Well equipped and comfortable. Thoughtful touches like welcome pack, one for dogs too. We were there for a celebratory 70th birthday BBQ with family found the BBQ to be unusable with food, grease and mold. Took over 5 hours to get a response from onsite maintenance company who just put grids in dishwasher, which still the food, mould etc on the grids. Very upsetting for all. Travelled round trying to buy new one but no avail. Did our best to clean it ourselves. Throughout the day tried to get help from Sykes, still waiting for a reply! Made a formal complaint to Sykes 2nd October, no response. Tried their Wattsap contact line today chasing the complaint, no response. I would recommend the owner stop using Sykes, they treat their customers very badly. Trust pilot reviews are manipulated. Google reviews more accurate.

Thank you for your feedback, Colin. We strive to provide the best possible experience for our guests, and we take all reviews seriously. After reviewing the timeline of events, we found some discrepancies in the details provided. Your initial call was received at 10:49am, our team were on site and had called you by 1:32pm requesting permission to access the property in your absense. Regarding the condition of the BBQ, our representative personally attended to its cleaning, addressing any issues left by previous guests. The majority of the BBQ was cleaned manually, with some smaller parts placed in the dishwasher. We assure you that a thorough cleaning process was carried out, which took approximately 1.5 hours, ensuring no food or mould remained on the BBQ shelving. Thank you once again for your feedback, and we hope to have the opportunity to serve you better in the future. Property Owner

About the location

BAMBURGH

Seahouses 3.5 miles; Beadnell 5.1 miles; Alnwick 16.9 miles.

The village’s sweeping sandy beaches and dramatic fortress - Bamburgh Castle - make Bamburgh one of Northumberland’s major visitor attractions. The castle can be seen for miles and dominates this part of the county’s coastline. Today it remains home to the family of the great Victorian industrialist Lord Armstrong, and is open to the public on a daily basis. Although overshadowed by the great castle, Bamburgh village is picturesque with neat grey stone cottages facing a manicured village green. There are excellent pubs, hotels with restaurants and a small selection of village shops. There are golf courses in Bamburgh and nearby Seahouses, and within easy reach are more wide sandy beaches, lovely fishing villages, stunning castles and coastal islands to explore along the dramatic Heritage Coast. There are numerous other attractions also a short drive away, including the famous Alnwick Castle and Gardens and the historic walled border town, Berwick-upon-Tweed. A superb base for exploring Northumberland.
