One thing we thought before coming was that the area would be a little more dog friendly and enclosed. We had to keep an eye on our dog whilst in the hot tub if any cars went by as Luna would want to see who it was. If this was fenced off then it would have been a little less stressful.
Secondly, I think the place was missing slight amenities that would just make the stay easier. E.g. there was no frying pan, scissors, pizza cutter etc. even little things like kitchen roll, foil or oil. These are things that I know you don’t have to provide but we wasn’t aware we would need to bring, so it made cooking initially quite difficult.
Thirdly, we thought there would be ponies in the front paddock and after hearing fresh eggs in the wooden store we were very excited, but there wasn’t any horses to see or any eggs when we checked.
Lastly, the tv in the front room wasn’t great. We were unable to watch Netflix and it would kick us out due to being old/wifi connection (unsure what it was as the wifi was great on phones and other tv streaming). We didn’t watch a crazy amount of tv but I imagine if you had kids, this would have been a little bit of an issue.
We did have a great time and we’ve come away from our mini honeymoon very refreshed. Thank you!
