    Large comfortable lounge, separate well equipped kitchen. We booked 2 nights but stayed 3. Swinton hall bird of prey experience is a must. Perfect.

The Fairhaven is a delightful lodge nestled within a collection of properties in the rural village of Tunstall near Catterick.Owned by a military veteran couple who have lived in the local area most of their lives and love North Yorkshire.

This wooden, pet-friendly lodge is a great base for families seeking a quiet escape to the countryside of North Yorkshire.

Upon arrival, you are greeted by two off-road parking spaces directly outside the lodge, so you can easily unload your belongings.

After a day of exploring, unwind within the lounge as you sit back on the sofas and select a favourite film from the 50" TV, reminiscing on the day so far.

Move into the kitchen, where a host of appliances can assist with home-cooking, plus there’s even a dishwasher so you won’t have to raise a finger when cleaning up!

Take the evening outside to the veranda where you can enjoy alfresco dining or simply relax with a favourite drink, as your pooch roams the lawn.

Whisk away to the bedrooms to catch some rest, offering a double with en-suite shower and a twin, which is perfect for the little ones.

Awaken from a deep slumber and start your morning routine in the bathroom, choosing between a lazy soak or refreshing rinse in the shower, before going out for the day.

Ideally positioned within reach of both the North York Moors and the Yorkshire Dales National Park, guests will be spoilt for choice with a great selection of awe-inspiring walking routes and off-beaten tracks to embark on.

A few miles away lies Richmond, home to the famous cobbled square and ancient castle, offering fresh fish and chips direct from Whitby; here you can spot the local wildlife in the nearby Bolton-on-Swale Nature Reserve or visit the Catterick Racecourse which plays host to the annual Catterick Races, promising a memorable day out with loved ones.

Take on further exploration at the National Trust owned Hudswell Woods or escape deep into the Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and enjoy tours of the Lower Huller stones and Muddle Crags.Fountains Abbey is only short drive away near Ripon.
