“Absolutely fabulous stay.”
The weather wasn't pleasant, but it made no difference. Clean, warm and cosy, with beautiful views, the perfect place to relax and forget about the daily grind. We loved everything, from the two gorgeous Highland Bulls in the adjacent field to the gorgeous cats and kittens that liked to peer through the door window for treats.
Breakfast, sat overlooking the rolling fields to the sea beyond was a delight, the kitchen had everything you need, including a welcome bottle of wine, a lovely touch.
James, the owner, is a lovely guy. He lives in the adjacent farmhouse and is at the end of a phone if you need anything.
We dined twice at The Blacksmiths Arms, a 5-minute drive away, and the service, atmosphere and food were fantastic, highly recommended.
Only one note of caution. If you fancy getting a Chinese takeaway, avoid Morrido like the plague. How it is rated so highly is beyond me. The place was filthy and having got back with a £27 banquet, the whole lot ended up straight in the bin. Greasy, gloopy, just horrible.
