“On a positive the kids loved the shape and spiral staircase.”

Layout worked well for us. Negative; Not clean, stairs dirty and not been hoovered. Cobwebs with spiders which boys did not like. Double bed unmade on arrival, spare sheets could only find a single and it was all creased and not very inviting. No oven gloves - dangerous getting things out of the oven/microwave. No bath mat -floor slippery and dangerous for boys when wet. No teaspoons - hard for the boys to eat yogurt and cereals. These niggles just took the edge off our stay.
