Situated on the island of Anglesey, Llanfachraeth near Valley, is the shepherds hut of Cwt Y Rhos.

On a sunny day, head to the coast where the beaches of Traeth Penial, Porth Trwyn and Porth Diana offer an opportunity to relax on their sandy beaches while looking out at the breath-taking views of the Irish Sea.

For guests that wish to immerse themselves in Welsh history, there are a multitude of options including Goleudy Ynys Lawd which runs seasonal tours, Swtan Heritage museum and Holyhead Maritime Museum.

Holyhead is also home to Skinner’s Monument, Ucheldre Art Centre and the Isle of Anglesey Coastal path which stretches 2 kilometres.

You could also venture further afield to the mainland to visit Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park which is home to a plethora of walks and trails.

Valley is a popular village on the north west coast of Anglesey. It is on the Anglesey Coastal Path with plenty of wonderfully scenic walks. The village boasts a variety of shops and restaurants, two hotels and a café, and is only four miles from the renowned beach resort of Trearddur Bay and Rhoscolyn. Here you will find a beautiful sweep of grassy coastline with rocky coves and award-winning sandy beaches, as well as a choice of shops, pubs and restaurants. Other nearby attractions include the South Stack Lighthouse with its RSPB Reserve, the port of Holyhead, with its regular ferry links with Dublin in Ireland, and easy access to the coast road around Anglesey with delightful beaches to visit and a host of other attractions to please the most discerning of visitors.
