We stayed for one week in late October and found the lodge comfortable, clean and well equipped with new furniture and a super comfy super king size bed. Our hosts, Pam and Bob were welcoming and friendly and went the extra mile to make our stay the best experience. The lodge is located a short walk from the Wirral coastal route which offers good, scenic walking. Our hosts, Pam and Bob were welcoming and friendly and went the extra mile to make our stay the best experience. The lodge is located a short walk from the Wirral coastal route which offers good, scenic walking. Meols train station is a 20 minute walk from the lodge and makes accessing Liverpool, Chester and other areas really easy. Train fares are really good value also with a day return to Liverpool costing £5.40 making it an easier and cheaper option than driving. There’s a very nice cafe, Maria’s, a short walk from the lodge and a pub and Chinese takeaway near the train station. There’s very good shopping and dining options available in Liverpool and Ellesmere Port if you’re venturing further afield and also a visit to Port Sunlight is a must. We would gladly return for another stay and can recommend.
