“Our dog loved staying here, having lots of new walks and things to see and sniff, and we all enjoyed visiting Cromer which is the most dog friendly town we've visited.”

The good: The location is good, 20 paces from the car to the door, quiet site with easy access to running and exploring spaces for dogs, and pleasant walks for humans too. Morrisons is only 4 minutes drive away if you avoid peak traffic in the town center. The kitchen has a range of good quality pans, trays and utensils (no tongs), microwave, oven and hob all as expected and clean. The TV has HDMI and USB inputs so you can take your own media to watch when the internet is down. The not so ...

The not so good: The beds sound and feel like sacks of rocks and spanners. The bedding was dirty with muddy paw prints on the sheets, greasy sweat stains on one pillow case and what I would describe as "meaty dog slobber" on another. Electricity "included" was one unit. 1kWh. 22p of power on a 7 night rental. Additional energy was 55p per unit, or £1 for 1.8kWh, via a coin fed mechanical meter. Many dead insects...on floors, walls, ceilings, pictures, tangled in the dust drifts... The internet connection is "3 mobile broadband", so speed varies from 30Mb early morning to 0.3Mb at 6pm on a Saturday. The dead animal smell when we arrived was identified as an open bag of hairy rabbit ears which was on top of the kitchen cupboards. There is a large selection of back crippling furniture in the dining room arranged to make moving around as difficult as possible. The can't be helped: The doorways are short - mind your head. Due to the nearby tall trees the building received no direct sunlight at all, so was chilly throughout our stay (mid september) even on sunny days. Tips for guests: Don't look behind the sofa. Take warm indoor clothes if it's not summer. The comfortable chairs are under the beds in the back bedroom. Morrisons sell clean bedding and blankets. You can get bags of £1 coins for the meter from the post-office inside the coop by the church. O2/GiffGaff mobile data was more reliable than 3, if you need internet for work. If you need things from Amazon, there's a pickup locker you can walk a dog to above the pier.
