“The Lodge was well maintained and comfortable in the main (just found the bed too soft in the double room).”

Hot tub was excellent. Location was gorgeous and our friendly host Poppy was around at least once a day.

About the location

KINNERLEY

Oswestry 6.9 miles; Shrewsbury 12.5 miles.

The small village of Kinnerley rests in the unspoilt Shropshire countryside, nestled between the villages of Dovaston and Pentre, with the nearest town being Oswestry. Many years ago, village was a stop on the now defunct Shropshire and Montgomery Railway, that ran from 1866 to 1960, whilst today it is mainly a residential village with a primary school, a church and a well-stocked shop that has fresh bread twice a week. Around the village are numerous walking and cycling routes which scale through the picturesque countryside. Seven miles away is the market town of Oswestry, boasting a range of restaurants, pubs and independent shops, whilst further afield lies the popular Shrewsbury and Telford.
