    This is the 3rd time we have stayed at the holiday park ever time in different lodges all excellent this is the smallest lodge we have stayed in but it was just for me and my wife and again if it’s piece and quiet you want this is the place everything you need is in the lodge this is the perfect retreat

Settled on the idyllic Oakwood Lodge Park, on the edge of the Welsh village of Rhayader, is this inviting, single-storey lodge, Great Owl Lodge.

Boasting off-road parking and a private veranda with a hot tub, this delightful lodge is perfect for a family and their canine companions looking to escape everyday life.

Following an afternoon of rambling the scenery of Mid Wales, make yourself at home in the open-plan living space, collapsing on the settee and flicking through the TV.

Pop the electric fire on and head to the kitchen, home to an electric oven, gas hob, microwave, and fridge, so you can easily conjure up a dish.

Gather all at the dining table and discuss the plans for the remainder of the holiday before breaking away to the bedrooms to catch your rest.

Llandrindod Wells 10 miles; Aberystwyth 34 miles.

Rhayader is a small Welsh market town with a selection of tea rooms, pubs, restaurants, amenities and unique little boutiques, including local antiques. An added bonus of a leisure centre with a large swimming pool and a weekly livestock market. The Red Kite Feeding Station, on the outskirts of the town is a great attraction not to be missed. Rhayader is the first town on the River Wye and is home to the spectacular dams and reservoirs of the Elan and Claerwen Valleys. The Elan Valley offers a variety of walks and cycle trails (cycle hire is available in Rhayader), as well as a visitor’s centre with café and children's play area. This area is known as the Wildlife Centre of Wales, with its amazing variety of nature reserves open for visitors to enjoy. There is also pony trekking available in the area. Visit Builth Wells, where the Spring Festival, Royal Welsh Agricultural Show and Winter Fair are all held annually. Alternatively, a scenic drive will take you to the Welsh coast 34 miles away.
