The property

Stylish Windermere Lodge is set within Fallbarrow Park, nestled on the shores of Lake Windermere and just a few minutes' walk from the popular town of Bowness-On-Windermere .

Its five star facilities include a popular bar and restaurant, a well-stocked deli and shop, children's play area, games area and of course a lakeside location offers boat launching and a small marina.

Windermere Lodge is a finished in a contemporary and sophisticated style and to a very high standard and is the ideal place to enjoy time away with friends or family.

The large decked area that wraps around the lodge is the ideal spot to relax with a glass of wine or a morning coffee and to enjoy glimpses of Lake Windermere through the surrounding woodland. Accommodation in detail From parking the car, the lodge is approached from the opposite side via the raised deck and features resin deck with glass balustrade surrounding the decking.

The front door opens to a hallway.

From here the lodge opens to a bright and spacious, open plan lounge, dining, kitchen area with bifold doors surrounding to the decking.

The comfortable sofa and armchairs are arranged around a feature fire place and large screen TV.

The quality fitted kitchen includes a dishwasher, washer/dryer, under counter fridge and separate freezer, induction hob and oven and the room is finished with a contemporary family dining table for 6.

The Bi-Fold doors lead to the large decking area that wraps around the lodge offering comfortable rattan seating to relax and have coffee or a glass of wine or eat alfresco using the gas barbecue.

A lovely way to spend a summers evening as it also features a Lake View! Windermere Lodge offers three bedrooms, the master bedroom includes a king size bed and is complemented by spacious walk in wardrobe and a smart ensuite shower room with shower cubicle, basin and WC.

The bright and airy second bedroom is furnished with Twin Beds and fitted furniture and the third bedroom features bunk beds perfect for families.

The family bathroom is of a high standard and offers a bath with shower over, inset washbasin, fitted storage and WC. The property features parking for two cars directly next to the lodge outside. Location Bowness village is probably the Lake District's most popular holiday destination, and it's an ideal choice for couples.

The village nestles on the eastern shores of Lake Windermere, with dramatic scenery to the fells beyond and endless opportunities to take to the water - romantic row boats to leisurely evening cruises on the famous steamers. What's more, Bowness high street boasts a wide selection of contemporary shops, sophisticated boutiques, handy supermarkets and tempting cafes.

You'll find everything you could need during your Lake District holiday just a stroll away from your door. Bowness village is the one of the livelier locations in the Lake District, with numerous top quality restaurants and inns and there's always something for every taste.

Try real Lakeland ale at cosy pubs such as the Hole int Wall, enjoy a hearty dinner at the Porto Restaurant, relax with drinks and cocktails at The Fizzy Tart champagne bar or drive out to one of the many acclaimed Lake District country pubs in the area.

To explore further afield, you need only stroll to Bowness Pier.

From there, Windermere Lake Cruises depart regularly to Ambleside and Lakeside - a scenic route with no need for a car.

You can also take the car ferry across Lake Windermere to explore Hawkshead, and visit the former home of Beatrix Potter.

Windermere Train Station 1.5 miles: Ambleside 5 miles; Kendal 7 miles.

The vibrant twin towns of Bowness and Windermere hold enduring appeal for visitors to the Lake District National Park, with each providing a range of nearby attractions, amenities, cinema, shops and restaurants to suit all tastes. A variety of boat trips and boat hire are available from Windermere Lake Cruises in Bowness to Brockhole, Ambleside and Lakeside (at the southern end of the lake where the Lakeside Aquarium and the Lakeside and Haverthwaite Railway are situated). The World of Beatrix Potter Attraction and the Old Laundry Theatre are 1.5 miles away. Orrest Head, where Alfred Wainwright was inspired to write his series of iconic guidebooks, is a 30-minute walk to enjoy the spectacular panorama of far-reaching views over the lake and surrounding fells. Brockhole, which offers high wire tree top experiences, is three miles away, and the historic villages of Grasmere, Ambleside and Troutbeck are a short drive away. There is also a variety of watersports on offer for the more energetic at marine centres along the lake. The area is ideally situated for exploring all that this region has to offer, whether by foot, bike, car, railway or bus; and is within easy reach of attractions such as the spectacular Langdales, Beatrix Potter’s Hill Top House at Far Sawrey, Coniston, Grizedale Forest Park, with its delightful walks and famous outdoor sculptures, mountain biking and 'Go-Ape' adventure park, Ullswater, Kendal, Keswick, stone circles, Roman forts and England's highest mountain, Scafell Pike.

Windermere Lodge is in a hilly area of the park. It is accessed by 4 wooden steps by the front door and 3 to the side deck. The lodge is then all on the same ground floor level.

A travel cot will fit in the master bedroom only.

The deck is enclosed but not gated.
