This pleasant lodge rests on the St Margaret’s Bay Holiday Park, in the picturesque village of St Margaret’s at Cliffe, close to the white-chalk cliffs in Kent.
This holiday home is the perfect base for families wanting to explore the neighbouring towns of Dover and Deal, while making use of the on-site facilities found on the holiday park.
Internally, the lodge is well-decorated to provide a comfortable accommodation, with an open-plan living area to the front and the bedrooms at the rear.
The kitchen is compact in size but offers all the necessary appliances to whip up a filling feast, whilst the sitting area houses a large corner sofa where you will find yourself dozing off in the evening.
Ideally accommodating a family of four, the bedrooms consist of a double with en-suite shower room and a twin, which is perfect for kids, but there is an additional sofa bed in the sitting room for two more guests.
The holiday park offers lots to keep the kids happy with a swimming pool and a 5-acre field for family games or dog walking.
Adults can take advantage of the fitness facilities with a pool big enough for swimming lengths, a gym, sauna and steam room to relieve and recover your muscles.
For your convenience, you can also find a small shop and a laundry on site.
The surrounding area offers a quieter pace of life amidst beautiful landscapes – take a serene walk along the white cliffs of Dover to capture unrivalled sea views, or visit the Victorian lighthouse and discover the early scientific inventions and ground breaking experiments used many years ago.
Explore the local town of Deal, the Georgian coastal town boasts two castles, both open to the public, two small museums, and two markets held weekly, where you can sample local produce.
Visit the Historic, medieval town of Sandwich, where you can tour its waterways and view its architecture.
On your return to St Margaret’s at Cliffe, stop by at one of the many eateries and cleanse your pallet with a pint at one of the locals.
A peaceful getaway to be enjoyed, any time of year.
For the keen golfer, there are acclaimed clubs at Kingsdown and Sandwich.
If you are feeling adventurous, why not take a day trip to France from either Folkestone or Dover.
