“Beautiful lodge, view from decking ,hills and sea between, great to sit in sun and admire the surrounding countryside .”

Pheasant landed on the railings, before taking off again.Very comfortable, and cosy.Went to several interesting places along the single track lanes accompanied by a flock?of pheasants that insisted on running along in front of us.Would recommend this lodge to anyone wanting a combination of views, along with every comfort.Thank you for a lovely time..

The property

The Lodge is located at the top of a private road, which also serves the owner property and High Bullen cottage, seconds off the A35.

The Timber Lodge was installed by the owners to take in the amazing panoramic views across the Dorset countryside and down to the sea, offering something special, with a definite “WOW FACTOR”.

Inside, the holiday décor of the lodge, with the open plan living space, large windows, high ceiling and white woodburner makes it a perfect place to relax.

The skandi vibe also makes the Lodge feel special in both summer and the colder months.

Take in the views through the patio doors, opening out onto the three meter wide deck and stroll through the private shingle garden with established sub-tropical planting.

To the back of the Lodge are a master King size bedroom with en-suite bathroom and shower, and a twin bedroom with high quality full size adult beds, plus a separate family bathroom, containing both bath and overhead shower. The property is all on one level, with a few external steps to access, and private parking for one car.

About the location

MORCOMBELAKE

Bridport 2 miles. Lyme Regis 7 miles. West Bay 4 miles.

Morcombelake is a small village located on the A35 between Lyme Regis and Bridport, in touching distance of Golden Cap - the highest point on the south coast of England - and the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site. Home to the famous 'Dorset Knob' biscuit, the village has a small store with post office and an excellent farm shop, Felicity's.

Nearby you will find the pretty seaside village of Seatown, with its excellent pub and great fossiling beach, which allows access to the walk along the coastal path, which affords spectacular views across the sparkling waters of Lyme Bay towards Portland, Chesil beach and the Dorset coast. A short drive east takes you to the ancient rope-making town of Bridport, and the harbour at West Bay, or venture west to visit the picturesque seaside resorts of Charmoith & Lyme Regis. An excellent holiday base from which to explore this scenic area.
