The property

Merryfield Lodge is a detached bungalow resting amongst the well-kept grounds and woodlands of Rosecraddoc Lodge near Liskeard, Cornwall.

Ideally located for touring all of Cornwall, as well as South Devon, Dartmoor and Bodmin Moor, this lovely bungalow is perfect for a family of four's holiday in Cornwall.

A homely feel greets you when you enter the open-plan living space; prepare home-cooked meals in the well-equipped kitchen area to be served at the dining table for four.

Tuck into a delicious meal whilst you plan your holiday adventures, before retiring to the snug sitting area for an evening of games or choose from a selection of DVDs.

At the rear of the property is a lovely, quiet patio, ideal for alfresco dining and long summer evenings.

Catch your rest in the double or twin bedroom, both with Freeview TVs to watch your favourite shows before bed.

Freshen up in the bathroom, equipped with a bath and power shower over to wake you up for the day ahead.

As the lodge is so well located, you have many options when it comes to arranging days out!

Within 4 miles is Bodmin Moor, excellent for both walking and horse riding, or head to Siblyback Lake Outdoor and Activity Centre; here sailing, windsurfing and canoeing are all available as well as top quality rainbow trout fishing.

Why not try wakeboarding or the high ropes course for the truly adventurous?

For a more relaxing day, leave your car at the nearby bustling market town of Liskeard and enjoy the train trip to the beautiful, picturesque fishing port of Looe.

With beautiful views amongst heavily wooded valleys teeming with wildlife, finally opening up to glorious estuary views as the river meets the sea, this journey is not to be missed.

You then reach the heart of Looe with its choice of safe beaches and maze of narrow streets full of independent shops, pubs and restaurants.

With such a variety of places to visit and things to do, this lodge is ideally located to offer a great holiday or short break at any time of year.

About the location

LISKEARD

Looe 9 miles, Bodmin 13 miles.

The historic market town of Liskeard is located in South East Cornwall at the head of the Looe Valley. The town is home to a number of shops, pubs and restaurants. The beaches and harbour of the quaint fishing port of Looe is a mere 9 miles away. In-between there’s fishing at nearby Siblyback Lake, the Donkey Sanctuary at St Ann's Chapel, Cotehele House (NT) and gardens, and the championship golf course at St Mellion International Resort. Head to the world-famous Eden Project for a superb day out with the children. Even the maritime city of Plymouth with its historic Barbican docks area, outstanding shops, theatres and restaurants and the National Maritime Museum is only 30 minutes by car.
