“The location of the cabin was very tranquil most of the time, we were unfortunate to be staying when the grass in front of us was being cut and then a few days later baled.”
They worked to 11 that night, we were unable to open the doors due to dust and fumes, it was a warm night.
Sam apologised for the inconvenience ,coming from a farming background I knew it had to be done before the rain.
I think "working farm " should be included in the description.
All in all it was a lovely week with plenty to see and do.
Thank you Wendy, we appreciate your feedback.
However we are absolutely NOT a working farm, we have no animals and no crops, we don’t even grow our own veg (which is on my to-do list ;) )and only have our grass cut (usually only the top field) once a year - the amount of rain we have had since October has been terrible and has had an effect on everything, including the grass- which the farmers are working all hours to try and get done, before more rain, which would result in it being ruined. Living in Cornwall, we have to support our farmers and the amazing work they do, for VERY little. Unfortunately we can’t book in advance when they arrive, we have to go with the weather. We are sorry for the inconvenience it caused you, it’s not ideal but for guests to enjoy the beautiful views and enjoy the gardens (plus animals getting hay) it is a must.
Thank you for staying, it was really nice meeting you both. X
