“We had a lovely holiday at Manor Farm cabin, despite a week of wet weather.”

The property was well equipped, quiet, and Oli was very welcoming. There was a good outside area, which we would have used in better weather. A good location for us, conveniently near Wantage and Hungerford. Also a handy Spar and Post Office at Great Shefford.

Wantage is a historic market town in the Oxfordshire county resting just a short drive from both Newbury and Swindon. The village of Wantage is full of history, being the birthplace of King Alfred, home to the first steam tram in Britain and the town itself has plenty of historical buildings and sights to see. There is so much on offer at Wnatage, for shopping there are a host of independent shops, pubs and cafes such as Dolphin Art, Little Sweetie, King Alfred’s Head and The Bay Tree Cafe. There is of course the market square, which hosts the farmer's markets on Wednesdays and Saturdays plus the impressive Dickensian Evening hosted in December. For essentials, you can find a Sainsbury's and Home Bargins to top up on anything you might need during your holiday. Wantage also enjoys close proximity to many scenic walks and spots at Lord Wantage Monument, The Ridgeway and Ardington Millennium Stones Within easy reach of the town is the equally gorgeous city of Oxford which has further attractions and amenities with Oxford Botanic Garden, Oxford University Museum of Natural History and The Covered Market.
