“Nice cabin on working farm accessed via country lane and over looking the sea which had good views of the landscape out to sea.”

“Everything about The Cabin is wonderful.”

The location is beautiful with a view down to the sea. There is an easy 20 minute or so wlak down the village and downhilll to Asda and the wonderful Seasalt sale shop! Many lovely walks around the countryside can be found in and around the area without having to use a car. You don't have to travel far in a car to visit the surrounding area including Port Navas and Constantine let alone Penryn and Falmouth. Andrew and Mel are wonderful hosts having your comfort and enjoyment to the forefront of their minds. They also proved in my own case to be so helpful is sorting out various issues such as problems with my car! All in all this was a wonderful place to stay in a friendly area.

“Excellent. Superb views over the valley to Argal farms & reservoir.”

Kitchen has a double oven and all the kit. Lovely walks from the farm. Circa one mile walk to the pub & shop in the village. Perfectly placed for Falmouth Truro & Helston by car. Very clean throughout. Big Asda Lidl and Sainsbury nearby by car. Local mega brewery Verdant in the industrial estate by the Asda. Highly recommended.

“It was all lovely.”

Our only criticism was that the second bedroom was poorly appointed. It lacked a mirror and a bedside table. It also needed a surface for one’s “stuff”, eg to plonk brochures one picked up, cosmetics, books, devices etc. there’s not much space there, but a simple bookcase - EMPTY - would solve the problem, especially if it had a mirror above.

Great base to view a number of National Trust & English Heritage properties/gardens in the area, plus being close to Falmouth for the Maritime Museum, beaches, etc

“The cabin was clean (in fact spotless) and comfortable and has a great view of the surrounding countryside.”

It is in a good location for exploring Cornwall and we were able to visit the Eden project, Lands End, Lost gardens of Heligan, Lizard point etc. all less than 1 hours drive away. Although it feels like you are away from it all in the countryside there are local amenities and a supermarket is just a short drive away. Would highly recommend this to anybody wanting to escape the rat race if only for a week or two !

“The cabin was lovely.”

our only criticisms are regarding heating and the double bedroom. there isn’t sufficient heating in the lounge/ kitchen, takes a long time to get the space warm. the double bedroom needs the bed replacing, it is lumpy, the mattress sinks in the middle and the bed is rickety and small. otherwise we have had a wonderful stay. the owners were friendly and receptive the

The Cabin is on the outskirt of the working dairy farm and overlooks a valley where the view of the land and lake leads your eye to the sea views above, very peaceful and beautiful. It is close to Penryn and Falmouth with supermarket and fuel facilities at the bottom of Mabe Burnthouse village. We would book again if we were in this area. Thank you to Andrew and Melanie for a lovely holiday.

A small hamlet just 4 miles from the maritime town and harbour of Falmouth. The surrounding countryside offers rolling fields, country lanes and misty, atmospheric creeks that wind their way inland from the sea through deep, wooded valleys. The area is perfect for lovers of breathtaking countryside, for enjoying time in boats and for long country walks. Falmouth, with its magnificent natural harbour (third largest in the world), winding streets and beaches will keep you occupied for hours. Its old harbour-side pubs, excellent shopping, Pendennis Castle and the stunning new National Maritime Museum complete the picture.
