Bay Lodge is set upon the beautiful Bossiney Bay Holiday Village, making it the perfect base from which to explore this idyllic part of Cornwall.
The lodge is single-story and has a private decked area with furniture and off-road parking for those arriving by car, making it ideal for families or couples.
The South West Coast path is only 500 yards away and the beach within walking distance, accessible at low tide and down a steepish path.
The lodge comprises of a double bedroom with an en-suite shower room including good wardrobe and drawer space, and a twin room with ample storage space for your belongings, where you can catch your rest after an adventurous day.
The open-plan living space is well-thought-out with a well-equipped kitchen, a dining area for four, and two large sofas to relax in to watch a film on the TV with Amazon Prime TV installed.
There’s also a family bathroom with a bath and a shower over, and is fitted with a toasty heated towel rail, so you can enjoy warm towels after your refreshing shower.
The decking has dining furniture, so you can dine alfresco and enjoy the views of the outdoors in the warmer months.
To the South is Tintagel, a short walk away, an historic town situated on the coast and is home to many interesting attractions, including Tintagel Castle, with its spectacular bridge, and the National Trust’s - Tintagel Old Post Office.
The town is also home to many shops, restaurants, and cafés if you fancy a break from cooking, as well as Warren Point along the coastal path, and an abundance of picturesque walking opportunities.
The Number 95 Go Bus Cornwall runs between Bude and Wadebridge, via Boscastle, Tintagel and Port Isaac.
The bus stop is just outside Bossiney Bay meaning you can travel with a view over the hedgerows and hop on and off the bus choosing to walk back to the lodge or return by bus.
Boscastle is a short drive away and is well worth a visit.
The town has a few good local shops, and restaurants, and is home to the famous Museum of Witchcraft and Magic, and the beautiful harbour.
If you’re feeling energetic you can walk the coast path to Boscastle through the amazing rocky valley.
St Nectans Glen and Waterfall is also nearby, open seven days a week, all year around, and can be reached by a short drive, or you can walk to it from Bay Lodge.
Wadebridge is within easy reach, a charming town home to Pencarrow House and Garden, a beautiful estate with stunning gardens, and the St Breock Downs Monolith, a massive stone monument.
Inland Camelford is within easy reach and is rich in history and culture; it's home to the Davidstow Airfield and Cornwall at War Museum, as well as the beautiful Enfield Park.
You won’t be short for dining options here either, with several restaurants and bars in town, including The Ship Inn, which serves traditional British cuisine.
For golfers there are many great courses to play, the nearest is Bowood Park just a short drive away.
