“A very luxurious lodge and very bright and airy.”

I was lucky with glorious weather during my stay. I was blown away by the location overlooking the Clyde and the passing cruise ship and ferries. It was very easy to get a train into Glasgow. In the main street at Weymns Bay was McCaskie's, a brilliant deli and cafe. Dumfries House is really worth a visit, but best to book in advance. All in all it was a great lodge, a brilliant location and the Scots are very friendly people
